Solutions

Single Sign On

Single Sign On (SSO) is becoming a requirement for Educational Institutions. It allows permission-controlled school-wide access to the DAM. Because SSO is under the control of the school’s IT department, access can be managed on a real-time basis for staff, faculty, students and more. New personnel can be automatically added to an account as they come on board, and automatically removed if they leave the institution.

While it’s common for Higher Education DAMs to offer SSO, it’s less common for the DAM to support group management through SSO. Without group management, all SSO users come in with the same access. If you want to give faculty, staff or hospital staff different access, it must be managed individually.

Mediagraph’s SSO allows your IT department to manage the group access for your account. If IT has added a person to the Faculty Active Directory group, they will automatically be added to the faculty group in Mediagraph. This saves a huge amount of time for the DAM admin team.

And group management does more than save time - it extends the reach of your media collection. We hear from our customers that it’s finally possible to provide institution-wide access to the DAM without overwhelming the DAM team. Integrated SSO groups allow you to show of the great work your team does, and help tell the story of your school to the largest audience possible. Mediagraph supports all the common flavors of SSO. We hear from our clients that it’s one of the easiest systems for your IT team to integrate with. SSO is available as part of all Enterprise plans for no additional charge.
